Cobram Barooga Dressage Champs
It is getting close to the end of the 2011.2012 competition season. I took Rudi to the Cobram Barooga Equestrian Club Championships this weekend and he did very well for his first start at HRCAV Level 2. He placed 1st and 2nd on Saturday and was awarded Runner up in the jackpot on a count back. he placed 1st and 2nd again on Sunday and this time won the jackpot. He also won the overall Championship. He was very tired and will have a well earned 2 weeks off.
Dressage with the Stars is over
The 2012 Dressage with the Stars is over and Rudi did a great job to finish in the top 20. It is a big event and the top riders from all over Australia are there with some of the most beautiful horses. It was a thrill to ride into the indoor at Werribee - all decked out with flowers, banners and a big audience - and have Rudi behave perfectly.

Entries closed on the 8th of February for Dressage with the Stars 2012. Competing with Rudi in the 5 year old class has been my goal this season but I haven;t been able to attend many qualifying events. He managed 6.68 at a competition in November but that was the only time I was able to make it to a qualifier until the weekend before the entries closed. Melbourne Summer Royal 2012
We headed down to the Summer Royal minus our key strapper, Vicki, but with good showing weather forecast and with Jeff armed to be the stable cleaner, videographer and all round clean up guy.
Rudi settled in well to a stable right next to the manure pile and never missed a beat with his appetite or water drinking. A family emergency meant a change of judges in the Warmblood ring. Even though he is 16hh, Rudi looks small in the Warmblood led class although he still placed 3rd. ...
